What services are included in the fee?

What is the Service Fee?

This fee covers the cost of running MEDIGO. It is charged at the time of appointment scheduling and is 9% of the quoted treatment cost. You can find your service fee listed as a part of the treatment offer.

Included in the fee is the time spent by the MEDIGO Care Team, who works to create the best possible medical travel experience for you. Your dedicated Care Team member manages your case, making sure you have all the necessary documents before you travel abroad for treatment. The MEDIGO Care Team coordinates all communication between you and the doctor, ensures that you get a treatment plan and cost estimate, and schedules your appointment. This fee only applies to patients traveling to hospitals or clinics in Germany, India, Israel, Costa Rica, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Why is the fee only applied to certain countries?

MEDIGO supports the running of its service and website in a number of ways. In most cases, this means that we are able to assist the patient completely free of charge. In some countries, we charge a service fee to directly to the individual scheduling the medical appointment because of that country's operational and/or regulatory specificities. This service fee applies if you are traveling for a medical treatment in a facility located in any of the following countries: Costa Rica, Germany, India, Israel, , Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States.

When will I have to pay the fee?

The fee is included in your Treatment Offer, along with your personalized quote, treatment deposit, and any additional support services you may have requested. As soon as you make this simple online payment, the preferential treatment rate and your initial appointment are secured. Your dedicated Care Team member will assist you through this easy process.

What is the cancellation policy?

MEDIGO will refund the Service Fee in full should you decide not to proceed with your medical treatment. Additionally, we offer a hassle-free refund policy for any additional services that did not meet your expectations. Please be aware that you may be responsible for a cancellation fee from the hospital or clinic where you scheduled your appointment.
